#News T.I.’s ‘Paperwork’ Is The Only Hip-Hop Album In The Top 50 In This Week’s Album Sales

This week goes down as the most disappointing week for urban music in recent memory. Only one hip-hop or R&B album cracked the Top 50 this week: T.I.’s
Paperwork. The Atlanta native’s ninth studio album dropped 14 spots from last week to grab the No. 50 spot, moving 7,723 units.
Surprisingly, Big K.R.I.T.’s Cadillactica dropped out of the Top 50 only a week after debuting at No. 5 with 43,000 records sold, and after 2 months worth of consecutive weeks in the Top 50, Chris Brown’s X finds itself on the outside looking in at the Top 50 charts for the first time since its release.
Next week’s sales will likely be a bit better than this week, with Rick Ross’s Hood Billionaire and Eminem’s Shady XV albums debuting on the charts next week. T.I.’s album will likely fall off the charts though, leaving only two albums on the charts next week, in all likelihood.
